Each year since 1945 the CBCA has brought children and books together across Australia through CBCA Book Week. During this time we spend one glorious week celebrating books and Australian children’s authors and illustrators.
Last week at SHP we were thrilled to have author and illustrator Matt Cosgrove come to visit. Matt Cosgrove was born and grew up in the Western Suburbs of Sydney. He has written many wonderful children’s books including Macca the Alpaca, Dharma the Llama, Alpaca’s with Maracas & Macca’s Christmas Crackers.
The theme for Book Week 2020 was Curious Creatures, Wild Minds. On Thursday 22 October the students and staff had their book week parade. We had Harry Potter to Where’s Wally and many other fabulous characters!
