What a great celebration we had yesterday at Sacred Heart! So many students (and staff!) participated in our Roald Dahl Day festivities, including our competitions, some creative writing and amazing costumes! Everyone made such creative, unique and thoughtful additions to their uniform, showing a great appreciation for the author and his much loved characters! We even had Danny, the Champion of the World’s father William and Grandpa Joe from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory! It sounded like they all had a marvellous day, and no one was thrown into the “chokie” by Mrs. Trunchbull… Phew!! Well done on your enthusiasm in celebrating stories and writing. I am extremely proud of the effort made by all, and thank you to parents for your support and helping the students with their costumes.
A final tally of donations raised for Indigenous Literacy is yet to be confirmed as some gold coins are still trickling in. However, I know that it will be greatly appreciated and used wisely, so thank you Sacred Heart community for your kindness, generosity and giving spirit.
Thank you!
Have a fizzwiggling day!
